Overview
An administrative portal for the dual-degree partnership between Galala University and Arizona State University. Registrar staff use it to maintain the course equivalency map between the two institutions and to transfer student grades across, either one record at a time or by uploading a spreadsheet.
The challenge
Course equivalencies and transferred grades were reconciled by hand across spreadsheets shared between two registrar offices on different continents. A single term meant thousands of rows, and a transcription error in any of them surfaced late - often only when a student queried a grade.
What we built
We replaced the shared spreadsheets with a single system of record. Registrars can still work row by row when they need to, but the batch path accepts the CSV and Excel exports they already produce, validates every row against the expected column order, and reports failures by row number instead of rejecting the whole file. A preview table shows exactly what will be written before anything is committed, so mistakes are caught before they reach a transcript.
